Seven Magic Mountains is an art installation just south of Las Vegas. It was created by renowned Swiss artist, Ugo Rondinone in 2016. This piece consists of seven multi-colored towers made of massive boulders, making it one of the largest land-based art installations in the United States.
It’s short distance (approximately 10 miles south of Las Vegas Boulevard and St. Rose Parkway) from the Strip makes this a very popular tourist destination. The colorful totems were only supposed to be on display from 2016-2018 but has been extended for another 3 years, there are talks of a further extension past 2021, but nothing has been confirmed.
These colorful 35-foot boulders sitting in the desert with Jean Dry Lake Bed as the backdrop offers a sight that people should at least see up close once!
